What's New in Pro 0.1.8

This release introduces a powerful transcript recovery feature and addresses a critical stability issue that could cause the app to freeze. If you've ever lost a transcript due to an unexpected crash, this update is for you.

Transcript Recovery

Life happens. Your computer might restart unexpectedly, or the app might close before saving your transcript. With the new Transcript Recovery feature, you no longer have to worry about losing your meeting notes.

If Meetily closes unexpectedly during a recording, your transcript is automatically preserved. When you reopen the app, you'll be prompted to recover your lost work. The recovery tool can also scan your meeting folders to find any orphaned recordings that weren't properly saved.

Stability Improvements

We fixed a critical bug where stopping a recording could cause the app to freeze or become unresponsive. This was especially frustrating when you needed to quickly move on to your next task. The stop button now works reliably every time, with comprehensive safeguards to prevent the app from hanging.

Smoother Updates

The update dialog has been improved to prevent accidental interruptions. While a new version is downloading, you can no longer accidentally close the dialog and disrupt the update process. This ensures your updates complete successfully the first time.

Better Meeting Organization

Recordings started from system notifications now automatically receive meaningful, timestamp-based titles instead of generic names. This makes it easier to find and organize your meetings later. We've also enhanced how Meetily scans and manages your meeting folders.
