100% Local Transcription
Audio capture and transcription always run on your device - audio never leaves your machine. Pro users can choose pluggable summary providers (local AI, BYOK, or Hosted AI). Community Edition keeps everything local end-to-end.
Complete Transparency
Open source code you can inspect. No hidden data collection, community-driven development, and regular security audits.
Zero Audio Collection
Meeting audio and recordings never leave your device, on any tier. We never collect personal information from meeting content. Hosted AI (Pro, optional) processes transcript text for summarization but is never used for model training.

Pro users who choose Hosted AI: transcript text is sent to our servers only to generate the summary you requested. Audio never leaves your device, and transcripts are not used for model training.

Trial Journey & Website Data Flows

License status check (Trial Journey Hub)
When you visit your trial dashboard at /my-license, we may check whether your trial is active, expired, or pending. To do this, your license identifier (licenseId) - a UUID embedded in your RSA-signed license key payload - is sent from your browser to a Meetily server-side function, which queries the license backend.
- +What is sent: your licenseId (UUID only - no email, no name, no payment data).
- +What comes back: non-personal status only - license state (active/expired/pending) and expiry date. Your email, name, or any other personal information is never returned to the browser by this endpoint.
- +API key: the backend API key used to authenticate this lookup is held server-side only and is never sent to your browser.
- +Purpose: to route you to the correct state (e.g., "extend from the app" if activated-expired, or "get help" if lapsed before activation) without exposing personal data to the browser.
- +Retention: no log of the licenseId query is retained beyond the function invocation. The status result is used only to render the correct page state.
Help and support form (/help)
The trial help form at /help lets you contact our support team when you are stuck, have lost your key, or need help activating. When you submit the form:
- +What is collected: your email address, the help topic you select (e.g., "lost license key"), an optional free-text message, your operating system (auto-detected, editable), and app version (or "not installed").
- +Where it goes: your submission is delivered to the Meetily support team inbox (Zackriya Solutions) via Resend, a transactional email service. Your email address is set as the Reply-To on the team email, so our team can respond to you directly.
- +Purpose: to replace dead-end
mailto:links with a triaged support channel that actually reaches a human and delivers a reply. - +Retention: submissions are retained in our team email inbox for support follow-up. We do not store them in a separate database. You may request deletion by emailing meetily@zackriya.com.
- +Scope: this form is scoped to the Pro trial journey only. It is not a general contact form for open-source or community users.
Website analytics (meetily.ai)
The meetily.ai marketing website uses PostHog for product analytics. This is separate from the Meetily desktop app, which does not send analytics without your consent.
- +What is collected: page views, session information, button clicks, referrer URLs, and usage patterns on the website. No meeting audio, transcripts, or app content is collected here.
- +Server-side events: some events (such as trial license issuance) are sent from our server-side functions to PostHog using a hashed identifier, never your raw email address, in line with our no-raw-email-in-analytics policy.
- +Provider: PostHog (posthog.com). Data is processed in accordance with PostHog's privacy policy and data processing agreement.
- +Purpose: to understand how visitors navigate the marketing site and where the trial activation journey breaks down, so we can improve it.
