What's New in Community 0.4.1

Meetily v0.4.1 is a reliability release. It keeps recording moving through microphone changes, preserves short spoken responses, fixes long HE-AAC imports, and strengthens summary and model-download recovery. This release merged eight pull requests, every one of them from a first-time contributor

Major Improvements

Bluetooth and external microphone connection enhancement

When a selected Bluetooth or external microphone disconnects, Meetily can fall back to the default system microphone. Recording no longer depends on a device remaining connected for the entire meeting.

More Complete Transcripts

Short replies like “yes” and “okay” are no longer discarded as low-confidence. Imported HE-AAC files now use the correct sample rate, so long recordings play at the right speed and keep their proper duration. This improvement ensures that transcripts are more accurate and reliable.

More Reliable Long-Meeting Summaries

Long transcripts retain coverage across summary chunks. Claude and Ollama handling is more resilient around thinking output, cancellation, and retry, so the saved result remains the visible meeting summary.

Model Downloads That Recover

Whisper and Parakeet download recovery preserves completed artifacts and handles cancellation and retry more safely. An interrupted download should not force a complete restart.

A Smoother Desktop Experience

The transcript and summary workspace is resizable, with clearer actions and improved recording readiness. Windows also gains more reliable speech-recognition recovery and CPU compatibility.
