Meetily Pro 1.11.0 MCP server

Your Meeting Notes in Cursor, Windsurf and Codex

Design reviews, sprint planning and incident calls decide what gets built. With the MCP server in Meetily Pro 1.11.0, Cursor, Windsurf and Codex can search those meetings and read their transcripts and summaries, so the decisions reach the editor without copy-paste. Meetily records and transcribes on your own Windows or Mac computer with no meeting bot.

  • Cursor
  • Windsurf
  • Codex
  • Read-Only by Default
  • One-click Connect from Meetily
  • Decisions from meetings, inside your editor
  • You choose what each editor may do
  • Transcription stays on your computer

How do I connect Cursor to Meetily?

In Meetily Pro 1.11.0 or later, open Settings > PRO and turn on Integrations. In the new Integrations tab, click Connect next to Cursor and choose what it may do (new connections start read-only). Then turn on its Allow switch and restart Cursor so it loads the Meetily tools. Windsurf and Codex work the same way: each has its own Connect button when it is installed on the same computer, and Codex also needs its command-line tool installed.

Meetily's Integrations tab with the Automation API switch on and Connect buttons for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Windsurf
Cursor, Windsurf and Codex each get their own Connect button and permissions.

What can I do with meeting notes in my editor?

Ask the editor’s assistant to work from what the meeting decided, for example:

  • “Read Monday’s architecture review and list the API changes we agreed.”
  • “Draft a migration plan from the decisions in yesterday’s sprint planning.”
  • “Check this pull request against what the design review decided about error handling.”
  • “Search last month’s meetings for everything said about the billing service.”

How do I add VS Code or another MCP client?

Meetily lists VS Code but cannot connect it from the app yet. You can still add the Meetily MCP server to VS Code, or to another MCP client, by hand: follow the up-to-date setup guide in the meetily-workflows repository. A client you set up by hand gets only the permissions of the key it uses.

What does the editor see, and where does it go?

The editor sees the meetings it reads when you ask, through the permissions you chose. Meetily serves them on your own computer; the editor then sends what it reads to its own AI provider along with the rest of your conversation. Connect the tools you already trust with your meeting notes. Transcription itself always runs locally.

What if the editor does not see Meetily?

Make sure the Automation API switch is on and the editor’s Allow switch is on in the Integrations tab, then restart the editor. After changing an editor’s permissions, restart it again so it picks them up. The built-in check, run in a terminal, confirms Meetily is reachable and your Pro license is active:

Code language: bash
meetily-pro mcp doctor

Where Meeting Context Helps in the Editor

Engineering work that starts in a meeting

Architecture Reviews

Pull the agreed design into the conversation before you start writing the code.

Sprint Planning

Turn the decisions and owners from planning into a task list or a migration plan.

Code Review

Check a change against what the team actually decided in the meeting.

Search Past Discussions

Find every time a service or API came up in last month's meetings.

Incident Reviews

Read the timeline and follow-ups from a postmortem while you fix the root cause.

Scripts Too

Prefer the terminal? The meetily-pro CLI exports any meeting as Markdown, text or JSON.

Using Claude Code instead? See connect Claude to your meeting notes. Scripting instead of chatting? See the Meetily CLI.

Editors and Meetily: Common Questions

Cursor, Windsurf and Codex, plus Claude Code, when they are installed on the same computer as Meetily Pro 1.11.0 or later. Codex and Claude Code also need their own command-line tool installed for Meetily to detect them. VS Code and other MCP clients can be added by hand.
No. Meetily only answers questions about your meetings. The editor sends meeting content it reads, together with whatever else is in its context, to its own AI provider, the same as the rest of your chat with it.
Yes, and it is the default: a new connection starts read-only. Record and Write are separate switches you can leave off, and no assistant can delete meetings through Meetily's MCP server.
The Meetily MCP server runs on the computer where Meetily is installed, so the assistant has to run on that same computer. An editor process running on a remote machine cannot reach it.
Yes. The MCP server is part of Meetily Pro ($10/user/month billed annually) and is included in the 14-day trial. The free Community Edition does not include it.
