Daily Standup Template
Time-boxed daily updates for engineering and product teams. Yesterday, today, and blockers in a structured format that an AI meeting note taker can auto-fill.

When to use this template
The Daily Standup template is built for the fifteen-minute morning sync that engineering and product teams run every working day. Each contributor answers three questions: what shipped yesterday, what is planned today, and what is blocking progress. The structure is deliberately narrow so the call stays time-boxed and the artifact is scannable in under thirty seconds.
Use it when you want a written record across the week without a dedicated note-taker tying up a person on every call. Skip it for retrospectives, planning, or any meeting that needs free-form discussion - this template optimizes for status, not depth.
How it differs from siblings
Where the standard meeting template captures decisions and discussion highlights, the standup template treats the meeting as a list of owners and tasks. There is no summary section by design - if the standup generates a discussion that needs a summary, it usually means the conversation should have been a separate meeting.
What the AI summary looks like
Meetily fills the Yesterday and Today tables row-by-row, one row per attendee, and only populates the Blockers table when an attendee explicitly raises a blocker. The Notes section is filled only when an announcement or follow-up cannot be expressed as a single row in one of the tables.
