Meetily Recovery Tool

The Recovery Tool is a specialized utility that helps you recover audio files and transcripts from meeting checkpoint data when Meetily crashes or closes unexpectedly. It scans your recordings directory and reconstructs lost meetings from checkpoint files.

Use the Recovery Tool when: (1) Meetily crashes during a recording, (2) Your computer shuts down unexpectedly during a meeting, (3) Meetily closes without saving your recording, or (4) You see checkpoint files but no corresponding meeting in Meetily Pro.

Yes! The Recovery Tool is completely free for all Meetily users, regardless of whether you use Community or Pro edition. It is designed to help you recover your valuable meeting data.

Meetily saves checkpoint files during recording to prevent data loss. The Recovery Tool scans these checkpoint files, reconstructs the audio stream, and generates the complete transcript. Once recovered, you can access the meeting in Meetily Pro like any other recording.

The Recovery Tool is currently available for macOS (Apple Silicon, macOS 11.0+). The Windows version is in development. If you need the Windows version, please contact meetily@zackriya.com to request early access.

By default, checkpoints are stored in: • macOS: ~/Movies/meetily-recordings/ • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\Videos\meetily-recordings/ The Recovery Tool will scan this location automatically.

No! The Recovery Tool is read-only and never modifies or deletes your checkpoint files. It only reads the data and reconstructs the audio and transcript. Your original checkpoint files remain intact.

You need Meetily Pro installed to view the recovered meetings, as the Recovery Tool saves them to the Pro database. However, you can use the tool to recover recordings from both Community and Pro editions.
